Beautiful!  We spend too much time licking our wounds and worrying about hurt feelings.  Sam and John both needed to reach out to one another.  This was an excellent portrayal of what must have happened on that first Father's Day away from home.

Author's Response: Thanks. Glad you like it. ^^

Poor Sam! Breaks my heart seeing how stubborn those damn Winchester men are. Great job!!!

Author's Response: Thank you, Rae! ^^ Glad you enjoyed it.

Awww, this was so sad. Poor Sam! Great job conveying a really bittersweet moment in just a few short words.

Author's Response: Thanks, Beth! Glad you liked it - I've been working on my concision, so I'm glad I got it all conveyed.

Aww - how sad- but that's probably exactly how it happened -- Well done!

Author's Response: Thank you. I rather think there were a good number of almost phone calls. Glad you liked it. ^^

That was really sad. Even sadder that it's so true. I would say they're stubborn for not picking up the phone and actually calling each other on occasion, but I've been just as guilty when it comes to rough and raw emotions. This drabble is simple but there's so much complexity behind it, or maybe I'm just weird. XP

Author's Response:

The truth of the matter, imho, is that the human race at large are experts as miscommunication, discommunication, and uncommunication. It's as simple and complex at that.

Thanks for the R&R - muchly appreciated. ^^

those winchesters are so stubborn!! if only they would've picked up the phone once in a while.

well done.

Author's Response:

Ah, the wonder a single phone call might have done...

Man this is sad and true to Sam, he's so freakin' stubborn whenever it comes to John. Thanks for sharing x

Author's Response:

As soon as I saw the challenge, I knew my drabble would be sad.

Glad you like the tale! ^^ Thanks for the R&R!

Its takes courage to hit the send button, and Sam still loves his Dad, whatever had happened before, good drabble

Jacq

Author's Response:

It does! And he does!

Thanks for the review, Jacq - glad you like.

Oh, those stubborn Winchesters, how hard is it to hit Send? I know it's always easier to see things from the outsider's pov, but still... I can understand where Sam's coming from, and I think just speaking the words gave him some peace of mind. Nice drabble.

Sue

Author's Response:

Thanks, Sue! ^^

Glad you liked it.

Gosh - that's sad.  I wonder how many times John had his phone in his hand and didn't get any further.

Author's Response:

I imagine it might have been more than a couple times. The things pride will do to a person - and the Winchesters have bushels of it!!

Thanks for the R&R. ^^

Those stubborn Winchesters!  One phone call may have made all the difference, too.  Great job!

Author's Response:

Thank you! You just know they had to have thought about each other a lot.

Glad you enjoyed the tale. ^^
